Why is there an option to 'give' to the church?
The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is 10% of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. Anything above the tithe is called an offering.
How does the church use my donation?
Donations are used to support the church’s various ministries, including worship services, community outreach, missionary support, building maintenance, and special projects.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, donations to Hope City Church are tax-deductible, and you will receive a statement at the end of the year detailing your contributions for tax purposes.
Can I designate my donation to a specific ministry or fund?
Yes, you may designate your giving to missions or toward helping us become debt-free in the building fund.
How transparent is the church about its finances?
Every year Hope City Church hosts an annual financial meeting for the members of the church. At this meeting you will see the receipts and disbursements from the previous year. You'll also have an opportunity to ask questions in that meeting.
Anyone who faithfully gives to Hope City Church may ask for an appointment with the pastor and ask questions.
